Well, this is unfortunately something I have tried to avoid over the past few months but after thinking long and hard about this its time for the decision to be made. Its no secret that ITSR has struggled over the last few months with not only putting cars on the track but with putting on great racing. The truth of the matter is that we are not putting on fun races anymore. The last few races on Tuesday are averaging 11 drivers, Thursday has seen a rapid decline with the last two races being cancelled (only 3 people showed up this past week) and the Sunday series is having its worse grid sizes in 4 years (12 at Kansas and 10 last night). While grid sizes can be saved by great racing, the other problem we have is cars at the finish. Last night we only had about 4 drivers finish and that's just not fun plain and simple. Nobody wants to run around for 50-60 laps and never see anybody else... that's not racing. On top of that, of the 10 guys that showed we had one intentional wreck somebody for no reason and another had to be kicked for language toward another driver. Why are admins AND YOU the driver devoting 3-4 hours of time to the league for nothing more than a race you can get from an open server on iRacing?
I truly do apologize to you guys that it got this bad, I took over as admin this past December so I take full blame 100% that it ever got this bad. The product on track that we are putting on is not what I expect and it shows no signs of improvement. For that reason we are cancelling all racing at ITSR effective today.
Thank you to the guys that have come out and supported the league. I appreciate you guys taking the time out of your personal life to race with me. Some of you guys have raced with me for years and helped me start and build the POWER Series from the ground up and I cant thank you enough for letting me do that. I truly expect to see most of you on the track again in future!!

I hate to hear that as I have enjoyed the Tuesday truck races. Lots of clean, respectful drivers with very few cautions.
I THANK YOU and all the Admins for the time and effort you put into making a great series for us to enjoy. I hope to race with many of you again in the future.
Please let me know if you start any organized racing later.

Personally, I just want to say how much I have enjoyed racing with all of you guys in the Power Series and the other ISRA and ITSR series. A little over three years ago, I joined on a whim because I saw Watkins Glen on the schedule. My first oval race at Michigan was rough: I got black-flagged late in the race for passing on a restart and ended up finishing at the tail end of the lead lap. But I stuck around for more oval races and I quickly got hooked: The competition was close, the racing was clean, and the drivers were friendly, all of which was a refreshing change from the immaturity, egos, and wreckfests on the official servers. I've had some absolutely awesome battles with many of you. The championship fights, both wins and losses, against Kyle Taraska, Mike Kelley, Tim Johnston, and Bobby Terrell stand out as some of the highlights of my 15+ years of sim racing. I have tons of respect for those guys and so many others in this league, and it's those close fights with close friends that I'll miss more than anything. It's been a blast running week-in, week-out with you guys and learning each others' tendencies and driving styles. For my money, it's as close to simulating a real-life racing series as you can get. For John, I want to say thanks for everything you have done in managing this league. From my couple months of running the WES this summer, I can say for sure that it isn't an easy job and burnout can settle in really quickly if you're not careful. So for John to have done this for 12 seasons is pretty remarkable, and maybe a little crazy (but I think we all knew that about John anyway ). I hope to see you guys on the track in the future! If you ever need a paint scheme or anything, please don't hesitate to PM me.

Very sorry to see this announcement but thank you to John and everyone who contributed to the league.
I came here from another oval league and enjoyed the league atmosphere and competition.
Look forward to seeing you all on track.

This is bad news to me. This is/was the league I like to run when real life doesn't get in the way. Great drivers here.
John, your admin skills are one of the main reasons I always come back here for good clean racing.
If you decide to run another league, please contact me so I can join.

Like I said guys, I hope most of our group can stay together and race. We have alot of former ITSR/POWER Series guys running at RSR. Go check them out. ileaguerace.com/leagues/show/RealsimracingI think the Hensley Motorsports team is going to move to Premier Racing League for the most part and run there. I know the Speed Mafia guys already run over there and some old POWER Series guys are over there also. Go check them out also. www.premierracingleague.com/NOTE: These are not run by me so you have to go thru their league admins to join.
